We are an all-female design team. This project began not from an abstract brief, but from time itself—how it leaves traces on women’s bodies and lives, and how it quietly reshapes their place within family, society, and self-understanding. Our mothers and the women close to us revealed that menopause is not merely a medical stage, but a deeply personal transition often endured in silence.
After a lifetime of caring for others, they are left with few spaces to be heard, to be understood, or to be supported. We came to realize that this is not the condition of one generation alone, but a recurring silence embedded in social structures. Design, therefore, can become a gentle yet lasting intervention: a way to let experience circulate, to make emotions visible, and to transform care from an occasional kindness into a sustainable, shareable capacity.
“Her Echo” is created not only for the women of today, but also for our future selves. We believe that true sustainability lies not only in systems or materials, but in the continuity of empathy and experience across generations—so that what one generation builds in understanding may return, like an echo, to those who come after, and to ourselves in time.
