In its March 2025 review report commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, UN Women noted that while health issues such as menopause have received increased attention, social security for middle-aged and older women remains challenging due to the global economic crisis and reduced healthcare funding. The report calls on countries to focus not only on young women but also on establishing gender equality policies covering the entire life cycle, particularly targeting the menopausal workforce in aging societies.
